Music (Flute & Choir)

 

Maya was born in Yerevan, Armenia where she received an early education in all the performing arts. She continued to study music, theatre and dance after moving to the U.S. at the age of fourteen, becoming especially interested in music performance and pedagogy.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance from CSUN and has been a performer and music teacher for over 15 years. In addition to maintaining a private flute and piano studio Maya has taught individual lessons on flute at the Tchaikovsky School of Music in Walnut for the past seven years.  She has also taught recorder and singing classes at Highland Hall Waldorf School.  Maya brings her experience and love of all the arts to her teaching.  Both of Maya’s children are Waldorf students.
